This is my first post on my new blog! Thanks so much for stopping by! The default title for the initial post was "hello world", which, as a programmer, I can appreciate. I don't have a ton to say just yet, so this will be short and sweet. I've got a short story in the Lovecraftian Horror genre called Pleasant Ridge, and I'm working on a fantasy book currently codenamed Kourdhaven.
I say "codenamed", but all that really means is that the book is named after the city it takes place in right now, and I haven't been able to come up with a better title, yet. I think I'm leaning towards something like The Chanter. It's short, simple, and references one of the main characters. The main hold-up with that title, in my mind, is that it ignores the second main character.
So, I'm not entirely stumped, but I also haven't been able to come up with a title I feel really good about. For now, I'll just keep writing (I'd say I'm a little more than 2/3 finished with the first draft), and maybe a title will jump out at me as I'm wrapping things up. I figure the worst case scenario is that I jot down any ideas I can tolerate, and depending on how many I come up with, roll some dice.
